Saturday's WCHA roundup: Connolly, UMD earn split with Sioux

MINNESOTA DULUTH 5, NORTH DAKOTA 4: Jack Connolly had a hand in every UMD goal to lead the third-ranked Bulldogs (19-7-4, 12-7-3 WCHA) past the visiting Sioux (16-11-2, 12-10) on Saturday. Connolly had two goals and three assists as UMD avenged Friday's 3-1 loss and earned a series split. Carter Rowney had two goals for the second night in a row for UND, but he missed an open shot at the net in the closing seconds.• BEMIDJI STATE 4, COLORADO COLLEGE 1: Jordan George and Aaron McLeod had a goal and an assist apiece to lead the host Beavers (15-12-3, 9-10-3) to a series sweep of the Tigers (15-11-2, 12-9-1). CC entered the weekend five points behind the Gophers for the WCHA lead.

NEBRASKA-OMAHA 4, MICHIGAN TECH 0: Ryan Massa made 35 saves a day after getting pulled and Matt White scored two goals as the Mavericks (13-11-6, 10-7-5) beat the Huskies (13-14-3, 10-9-3) in Houghton, Mich.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 2, ALASKA-ANCHORAGE 1: Senior forward Michael Dorr scored at 13:51 of the third period to lift the Mavericks to a sweep of the last-place Seawolves in Anchorage, Alaska.
