Rosemount finished on a 16-7 run over the final 4:30 to upset second-seeded Apple Valley 61-58 in the Class 4A, Section 3 girls' basketball semifinals Saturday.

Maddy Olson made a three-point shot with 1:46 left to tie the score, and she finished with a game-high 22 points. Nicole Elias had 19 points and Katie Essen 11 for the Irish.
Brynne Rolland led the Eagles with 18 points. Lyndsey Robson had 14 points and Erin Baxter 12 for the Eagles.
White Bear Lake 56, Cretin-Derham Hall 53: The second-seeded Bears held a six-point lead over the Raiders at halftime and held on to win in the Class 4A, Section 4 semifinals.
Hopkins 85, Minneapolis South 42: The top-seeded Royals jumped to a 25-point lead at halftime and routed the fifth-seeded Tigers in the Class 4A, Section 6 semifinals. Freshman guard Paige Bueckers led the Royals with 23 points and Dlayla Chakolis added 20. Morgan Hill led the Tigers with 12 points. The win keeps the Royals, the top team in Class 4A, perfect at 28-0.
Wayzata 66, Cooper 44: In the other Section 6 semifinal, the second seed Trojans used a stingy defense to hold the third seed Hawks to 18 points in the second half. Sophomore guard Mimi Schrader led the Trojans with 21 points and Sydney Franks added 15. Kierra Wheeler led the Hawks with 10 points.
Minnetonka 79, Prior Lake 58: The top-seeded Skippers took a 24-point lead into halftime and cruised past the fourth seed Lakers in the Class 4A, Section 2 semifinals. Skippers guard Megan Walker led all scorers with 29 points.
Centennial 62, Champlin Park 46: The third-seeded Cougars led by 17 at halftime on the way to a victory in the Class 4A, Section 5 semifinals.
Holy Family 52, Annandale 47: Brooke Bowlin scored 17 points and Leigh Steiner added 13 to lead the third-seeded Fire past the sixth-seeded Cardinals in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A, Section 5 playoffs.
