Hawks rest four players but still edge Miami
MIAMI – Paul Millsap scored 22 points, Dennis Schroder added 16 points and 10 assists and the intentionally depleted Atlanta Hawks, who rested four regulars, still had enough to beat the Miami Heat 93-91 on Saturday night.
Dwyane Wade scored 22 points for Miami, which fell to 10-17 at home and still remains in the No. 7 spot in the Eastern Conference race. Hassan Whiteside finished with 14 points and tied a season high with 24 rebounds for Miami.
•WIZARDS' LOSING STREAK ENDS: John Wall scored 22 points, Nene added 21 and the Washington Wizards ended their six-game losing streak with a 99-95 win over the visiting Detroit Pistons.The Wizards won despite blowing a 21-point second-half lead. Marcin Gortat scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for Washington. Greg Monroe had 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Spencer Dinwiddie added 20 off the bench for Detroit.
•KNICKS BEAT RAPTORS: Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 22 points and Langston Galloway made a clinching three-pointer as the host New York Knicks won 103-98 over Toronto. It was the Raptors' season-high fifth straight loss.
•WILLIAMS LEADS NETS: Deron Williams' 25 points led the visiting Brooklyn Nets past the Dallas Mavericks 104-94.
