Wolverines sweep Spartans
•MICHIGAN 6, MICHIGAN STATE 3: The No. 8 Wolverines (13-3-3, 4-1-1-1 Big Ten) scored three goals in the first 8½ minutes to take a 4-1 lead en route to a sweep of the visiting Spartans (5-15-2, 1-5). Zach Werenski's goal, on a power play, was the ultimate winner. Michigan won 9-2 on Friday in the home-and-home series.
•OHIO STATE 4, WISCONSIN 4: Grant Besse, a former Benilde-St. Margaret's star, scored early in the third period to give the Badgers (4-8-6, 1-3-2-1) what officially will be a tie with the visiting Buckeyes (6-11-1, 1-2-1). After a scoreless overtime, Wisconsin won the shootout 1-0 on Ryan Wagner's goal for an extra point in the conference standings.
•MINNESOTA DULUTH 5, MIAMI (OHIO) 2: Goals by Neal Pionk and Tony Cameranesi in the first period and Dominic Toninato and Parker Mackay in the second gave the No. 19 Bulldogs (8-7-4, 5-5-2-1) a 4-0 lead in their road win over the RedHawks (6-11-3, 3-8-1-2). UMD held Miami to 15 shots, and only six in the final two periods.
•COLORADO COLLEGE 5, ST. CLOUD STATE 2: Tanner Ockey's first goal of the season gave the Colorado College a 3-1 lead early in the second period as the Tigers (5-17, 3-9) upset the No. 4 Huskies (17-5, 9-3).
•MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, NORTHERN MICHIGAN 1: Dylan Margonari and Casey Nelson scored third-period goals to lead the No. 18 Mavericks (11-7-4, 10-2-4) over the visiting Wildcats (8-8-6, 6-6-4).
