Lake Susan: Paved trail along lake ends at marsh. Look for Northern waterthrush. 903 E. Lake Drive, Chanhassen.

Lock and Dam No. 2: Paved trail to marshy area. 1350 Dam Road, Hastings. www.nps.gov/miss/planyourvisit/lockdam2.htm

Old Cedar Avenue Bridge: Look for warblers, soras and many migrants. 9500 Old Cedar Av. S., Bloomington.

Pioneer Park: A paved wheelchair-friendly trail goes through a bog area. Look for wood thrush and bog species. 2503 125th Av. NE., Blaine.

Springbrook Nature Center: Beaver Pond Trail is paved for three-tenths of a mile. 100 85th Av. NW., Fridley.

Wood Lake Nature Center: Three miles of trails and boardwalks offer views of waterfowl. The trails are either blacktop or crushed limestone, and most are wheelchair-accessible during the summer. 6710 Lake Shore Dr., Richfield.

It's not birding-specific, but it does often describe the type of vegetation to be expected and includes details about amenities available, parking and other facilities.
