Earth Day glams up

Beauty can be eco-friendly. For Earth Day next Wednesday, the Winona-based J.R. Watkins Natural Apothecary will hand-deliver baskets of goodies to 25 celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen DeGeneres and Justin Timberlake. The A-listers will get products formulated nearly 100 percent with natural ingredients, including the ultra-rich Lemon Cream Body Cream ($8.99, at select Target stores and online www.jrwatkins.com).

Appropriately enough, Eco-Tique (1045 Grand Av., St. Paul, 651-222-3127) has a lineup of special events and deals. Through April 26, bring in a pair of gently worn shoes to be donated to Soles 4 Souls (www.soles4souls.org) and receive $10 off a purchase of $40. On Wednesday evening (5-8 p.m.), go in for a green shopping experience with refreshments and special discounts. One more thing: Starting this weekend, they'll be selling vegan cupcakes from Miel y Leche Catering (mielyleche.net) on Saturdays.

Ellie and Maia Schifman

Spotted at: Yum! in St. Louis Park

These two look like they get their photo taken all the time! Ellie, 3, and Maia, 5, were enjoying a dinner of macaroni and cheese and green beans with their parents. The young fashionistas wore embroidered dresses from Mini Boden, the British retailer. Their boots were presents from their grammy. Working the camera? That's a gift you're just born with.
