– The St. Paul Saints tied a club record for largest margin of victory, winning 18-2 over the Gary SouthShore Railcats.

Vinny DiFazio had four hits, five RBI and tied an American Association record with five runs scored. The 18 runs and 20 hits were season highs.

In the process the Saints kept their streak alive of not losing a series, improving to 17-0-2. They improved to 49-16 with their second 20-victory month of the season. They went 20-8 in July after going 20-7 in June.

The 16-run victory is the fifth time in franchise history they beat a team by that margin, the last time was a 16-0 victory at Fargo-Moorhead on August 8, 2013.

Saints pitcher Dustin Crenshaw gave up one unearned run on eight hits while walking one and striking out two over six innings. He became the first American Association pitcher to 11 victories, improving to 11-1.
