Ryan rules vs. NFC North The NFC North has played a role in helping Atlanta's Matt Ryan establish himself as one of the most successful rookie quarterbacks in NFL history.
Ryan's first NFL pass was a 62-yard touchdown in a season-opening 34-21 victory over the Lions. His first multi-touchdown game came in beating the Packers 27-24 at Lambeau Field on Oct. 5. And the signature moment of his rookie season to this point came when he completed a 26-yard pass to set up a game-winning field goal as time expired to help edge the Bears 22-20 on Oct. 12.
Next up for Ryan: The Vikings on Sunday at the Metrodome.
"I think they are a good football team," Ryan said. "I think they do some things defensively that are tough. They have got a good front seven. Their front four is pretty good. They are aggressive and then they make some plays in the secondary. So I think it is going to be a tough contest for us."
Not only is Ryan 3-0 against the NFC North, he's also completing 68.1 percent of his passes (47 of 69) for 656 yards, four touchdowns, one interception and one sack.
He has had passer ratings of 137.0 against the Lions, 116.1 against the Bears and 94.1 against the Packers. He threw for 301 yards while completing 73.3 percent of his passes against the Bears.
