The Twins have selected RHP Miguel Diaz with the first overall pick of the MLB Rule 5 draft, but don't start buying his jersey.

According to a source, the Twins are trading the pick to the Padres.

The Padres selected SS Allan Cordoba with their Rule 5 pick. He was signed out of Panama by the Cardinals.

We will find out soon if that is the swap.

UPDATE: We are on hold here in National Harbor, Md., as we wait for the Twins Rule 5 deal to be completed, As of now, we believe its a three-way swap between the Twins, Padres and Red Sox. There are some details that need to be ironed out. But it looks like the Twins will end up with RHP Justin Haley.

Heard something late last night (this morning) about the Dodgers interest in Brian Dozier. LA is trying to re-sign Justin Turner and won't commit certain prospects to a Dozier deal until they figure out the Turner situation. If they don't sign Turner, they might need assets to deal for another third baseman,

That's what I was told.

Don't start screaming for the Dodgers to sign Trevor Plouffe if Turner leaves. Might be a crazy rumor. Might be the truth. Stay tuned.
