Rookie Michael Porter leads Nuggets over Pacers

Michael Porter Jr. scored a career-high 25 points and Jamal Murray added 22, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 124-116 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.

The Nuggets have won three of four and earned this one despite having Nikola Jokic in serious foul trouble all night. Jokic finished with 22 points, 12 in the fourth quarter, and seven rebounds.

Jeremy Lamb had a season-high 30 points for the Pacers, who have lost four of six. Domantas Sabonis had 18 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, falling just short of a triple-double for the second time this week.

Miami 84, Toronto 76: Bam Adebayo had 15 points and 14 rebounds, and the host Heat put together its best defensive performance of the season in a victory over the Raptors.

Tyler Herro and Goran Dragic each scored 13 points for Miami, which is now 2-0 against the Raptors this season and improved to 9-0 after a loss.

The Heat and Bucks are the only teams to not lose consecutive games.

L.A. Clippers 126, Detroit 112: Montrezl Harrell scored 23 points and Lou Williams 22 off the bench as the host Clippers beat the Pistons.

Utah 102, Chicago 98: Bojan Bogdanovic scored 19 points and the surging Jazz held off the host Bulls. Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert each scored 17 for Utah. Zach LaVine led Chicago with 26 points and Lauri Markkanen scored 18.

Oklahoma City 109, San Antonio 103: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 25 points and the Thunder overcame 30 points by DeMar DeRozan to beat the Spurs, stopping a nine-game skid in San Antonio.

Charlotte 109, Cleveland 106: Devonte' Graham hit a three-pointer with 26 seconds left to break a tie and cap a late rally in the Hornets' victory over the host Cavaliers.

Dallas 123, Brooklyn 111: Luka Doncic scored 31 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and added seven assists as the host Mavericks beat the Nets. Seth Curry scored 25 points Maxi Kleber 18 off the bench. Spencer Dinwiddie led the Nets with 19 points.

Sacramento 128, Memphis 123: De'Aaron Fox scored 7 points as the host Kings beat the Grizzlies.

• Magic forward Jonathan Isaac will be out because of a bone bruise in his knee.

• Zion Williamson returned to practice with the Pelicans for the first time this season following knee surgery.
