Not just another brick in "The Wall," Pink Floyd mastermind Roger Waters is putting together an ambitious staging of his band's second-most-celebrated album for a 30th anniversary tour coming Oct. 27 to St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center. Ticket information should be announced within a few days.

A 1979 concept record, "The Wall" was originally staged on a 1980 tour with giant cardboard bricks and inflatable characters. In interviews, Waters has said he plans to take full advantage of advances in film projection and other special effects for a more dazzling show. He has also said this tour might be his last.

Even though he was long against reuniting his old band on tour, Waters has no trouble mining the golden Floyd legacy on his own. His 2007 concert at Xcel Energy Center drew a near-capacity crowd thanks to his promise to play the "Dark Side of the Moon" album in its entirety.

Xcel Center announced details of two other new concerts: A tour kickoff by Carlos Santana and his namesake band with "special guest" Steve Winwood on June 30, with tickets on sale April 19 ($125.50-$25.50); and a second show by Lady Gaga Aug. 31 after her Aug. 30 concert quickly sold out; tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. ($177-$51.50).
