Rocking the Walker

The highlight for many at Rock the Garden wasn't MGMT's electronic rock or Sharon Jones' soulful dancing. It was the people-watching.

The art-and-music-loving crowd on the hillside next to the Walker Art Center was there to see and be seen.

"The great thing about the Twin Cities is that there's a huge concentration of outdoor concerts," said Marah Lawton of St. Paul. "It's a good lineup and a good crowd."

It's hard to beat a summery Saturday evening with live music in the open air -- as long as the weather cooperates, which it did. Locals and out-of-towners enjoyed everything from the Summit beer to the explosive confetti released by OK Go.

Hayley Phillips, who was visiting from South Carolina, couldn't get enough. "I love Minneapolis! This is such a good introduction," she said. Uh, just wait until the winter. She replied: "Why does everyone say that?"

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
