Robbie Earl recalled as insurance

Wild recall Robbie Earl

March 3, 2010 at 4:07PM

Good morning from Calgary.

The Wild recalled Robbie Earl this morning as insurance if it trades a player today. If no trade is made, I'm told Earl will be reassigned. Remember also, you can go over the 23-man roster post-trade deadline.

I still believe the most likely UFA to be moved would be Eric Belanger.

In about an hour, I'm going to head over to the Saddledome for the morning skates, so during the times I'm not in front of my laptop, I suggest you follow me on twitter at www.twitter.com/russostrib.

The Houston Aeros, by the way, signed 43-year-old Tony 'Circus' Hrkac to an AHL deal. The guy loves playing, eh?

If you didn't see, Martin Skoula has been reunited with Jacques Lemaire in New Jersey. Skoula was traded to Toronto in the Alex Ponikarovsky deal so Pittsburgh could get under the cap. Now Toronto flips him to Jacques, and let's be honest, this was a Jacques move. He loves Skoula.

More later.

The Gophers played with more urgency, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from another conference sweep, and they lost LJ Mooney to injury in the process.
