In a story published Feb. 13, 2015, headlined "Minneapolis attorney suspended for professional misconduct," the Star Tribune wrote that while she was on disciplinary probation, Minneapolis attorney Shannon Fitzpatrick forged a client's signature on a document without the client's knowledge. The story should have said that Fitzpatrick cut and pasted a client's signature into a document with the client's knowledge, notarized the signature and filed the document with the district court. The Star Tribune regrets the error.
