The University of Minnesota men's basketball team will face Temple in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tipoff this fall, CBS Sports reported this week.

The eight-team tournament will take place in San Juan on November 19-22 with first and second-round games being played during the first two days, CBS reported. The championship will follow on the 22nd.

The Gophers and coach Richard Pitino were in Puerto Rico last November as well, for an ESPN-organized season opener against then No.8 Louisville and Pitino's father, Rick.

Led by ninth-year coach Fran Dunphy, Temple loses one starter, leading scorer Will Cummings, from a team that advanced to the NIT semifinals last season after failing to fall on the right side of the NCAA tournament bubble.

The rest of the non-conference schedule will be announced later this summer.
