ReFurnish closing sale ReFurnish (4950 W. 78th St., Bloomington, 952-835-3400) is the latest furniture store to call it quits in a tough economy and housing market. Starting today, the furniture outlet will begin its going-out-of-business sale. It will last about a month, with discounts starting at 30 percent off the previous outlet pricing for the first week. Discounts increase 10 percentage points each week until discounts are 60 percent or "make an offer" during the fourth week. Owner Pat Fleetham said that no outside promotion company is being brought in to run the sale. The stock includes budget- to midrange-quality upholstery, entertainment centers, lounge chairs, end tables, chests and lamps. Artwork and mirrors will start at 50 percent off. Brands include Bernhardt, Stanley, Chapman, Ashley, Broyhill and Old World Designs. During the sale the store will be open daily.
Temporary outlet sale Tom Tellin closed his Warehouse Outlet in Fridley in 2004 after the building was found to have some code violations, but Mr. Liquidator is back with a temporary sale called "housewares liquidators sale" today through Saturday. Save 50 to 90 percent on electronic items, domestics, toys, kitchen items, luggage, bath merchandise, patio furniture, pond kits and accent lighting. The brand-name stock, including Fisher-Price, Chicago Cutlery, Dirt Devil, Sony, Samsonite, and KitchenAid, comprises closeouts, returns and display models. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the VFW (1040 Osborne Road, Fridley). All sales are final. Checks, cash and credit cards will be accepted.
