Marcus Coker, Iowa

Coker rushed for 252 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries, but 249 of those yards came in the first three quarters. That was largely due to the Gophers recovering an onside kick that allowed Iowa's offense only 1:35 of possession in the final quarter.

DEFENSIVE MVP

Kim Royston, Gophers

The senior had 16 tackles, eight of them solo, and even more important recovered an onside kick midway through the fourth quarter after the Gophers had pulled within 21-16. The recovery led to the Gophers' winning touchdown.
