A cold, windswept rain will spread northward along the Eastern Seaboard
Monday night and Tuesday. Thus, the heaviest rain will leave New Jersey and
southeastern New York overnight while, at the same time, pelting rain will
spread over central and northern New England. During the daytime on Tuesday,
most of the heavy rain will fall over Maine through eastern Massachusetts.
Through Tuesday afternoon, rainfall of 1-2 inches will fall widely along and
east of I-95 with lesser amounts farther inland. Some urban flood will happen
and small stream flooding will be possible.
