A strong cold front will be affecting the coast of central and northern California as wet weather and cool temperatures move in off the Pacific Ocean.

The jet stream, being further south than normal this time of year, will steer this weather into the metro Los Angeles area for Friday. Expect a dosing of beneficial rain and cooler than normal temperatures coming at a bad time for travel, as I am sure there will be plenty of people traveling for the holiday weekend.

Expect slower than normal traffic and flight delays in and around southern California Friday. Saturday should be much better for travel and on the cool side.
