Sonny Knight & the Lakers
R&B of different flavors and eras is alive and well in the Twin Cities. You can't find a better example of vintage soul than veteran showman Sonny Knight and the Lakers, his band of funky young guns. A former member of the 1970s soul band Haze, Knight was such a hit at the fair last year that he was asked back. Wear your dancing shoes. (8 p.m. Sept. 4-5, West End Market, free.)
