A starter on the offensive line since his freshman year, Rousemiller enters senior year as a Division I recruit with two all-conference honors and a 6-4, 300-pound frame. Under his father's coaching on the offensive line, he is poised to anchor both Lakeville South fronts.
Q: What did you work on in the offseason?
A: Improving my strength, speed, technique and leadership.
Q: Most memorable moment as a high school athlete so far?
A: My first varsity game against Lakeville North freshman year, when they announced my name as the starting center and nobody in the student section knew who I was so nobody cheered except for the freshmen. It was embarrassing, but I'll never forget it!
Q: Goals for the 2016-17 school year as an athlete?
A: To leave everything on the field/platform/circle and have no second thoughts or regrets about how hard I worked.
Q: Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why?
A: Big Guy Probs, it highlights the struggles and triumphs of being a lineman, and it's hilariously accurate.
Q: To get focused for competition, I … ?
A: Close my eyes, listen to music, and visualize what I do on every play.
Q: How did you get started playing the sport or sports you play now in high school?
A: My father coached all three, so I grew up watching them and fell in love with them. Also, I was never built for soccer, Nordic skiing or distance running, so I decided on football, Olympic weightlifting and throwing in track and field.
Q: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be?
A: I would change the celebration rule in football so I could dunk on the goalpost if by some miracle I ever scored a touchdown.
Q: I know I have an edge on an opponent when?
A: They won't make eye contact with me.
Q: Do you have a secret talent — and if so, what is it?
A: Despite being 300 pounds, I have been told I'm an excellent dancer.
