Project Skyway, a Minnesota tech accelerator program, said it has joined a national entrepreneurship initiative.
The initiative, called StartUP America Partnership, aims to provide more education and support for entrepreneurs, as well as increase the number of high-growth businesses. The partnership is chaired by Steve Case, co-founder of AOL and chairman of non-profit Case Foundation.
Cem Erdem, founder of Project Skyway, said he believes the StartUP America Partnership "aligns with the goals and mission" of his accelerator program. Project Skyway will take in 10 companies nationwide that sell software as a service to businesses, offering them mentors and access to a network of experts who can help develop a product.
"We are committed to improving early-stage technology here in Minnesota while also leveraging the strengths of the talented yet underserved entrepreneurs within our educational system," Erdem said.
