DULUTH, Minn. — A man accused of stealing a construction excavator and taking it on a drunken joyride in Duluth is facing criminal charges.

Authorities say 27-year-old Dustin Lunde was arrested March 9 when he was spotted driving the excavator down a sidewalk. State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske says a breath test registered Lunde's blood alcohol content at .20 — more than twice the legal limit to drive.

WDIO-TV (http://bit.ly/1oEenpd ) says Lunde is charged with theft, possession of stolen property and driving drunk.

An attorney for Lunde was not listed in court records.
