Former President Bill Clinton's fundraiser for Mark Dayton on Tuesday will cost a cool $1,000 a head, Dayton's gubernatorial campaign has announced.
The fundraiser, billed as a "cocktail reception," will be held at 8 p.m. at the Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The campaign doesn't list any public events for Clinton.
Clinton is just the first heavyweight Democrat coming to Minnesota to stump for Dayton. Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to speak at a public rally next month and Dayton has asked President Obama for help; the White House confirmed that Obama will visit the state on a still-unannounced date this fall.
