2015 Gophers spring game
3 p.m. today
TCF Bank Stadium
Admission: Free
TV: Big Ten Network
Streaming: On BTN2GO
Tape-delayed radio: 100.3-FM (6 p.m., because of the Wild game).
Format: Like last year, the Gophers won't divide into two separate teams and keep score. They'll pit the offense vs. the defense in a series of drives. It's full contact for everyone except the quarterbacks.
Pre- and postgame: The stadium doors open at 1 p.m. The Gophers will hold an alumni flag football game at 1:15, with the current team taking the field at 3 p.m. Following the spring game, players will sign autographs on the field.
Three new players to watch
Jeff Jones: The highly touted recruit from Minneapolis Washburn has been turning heads all spring, working as a slot receiver.
Rodney Smith: The coaches compare his vision to David Cobb's, and the redshirt freshman should get a lot of carries Saturday.
Isaiah Gentry: The 6-4 Cincinnati Moeller graduate has the speed and skill to become a deep-play threat.
