Power five

With five heavy hitters in the lineup, the Gophers can attack opponents in many ways and from many angles. Here's a look at the team's top hitters, listed in order of kills this season.

Stephanie Samedy (6-2, so.)

Right-side hitter • 326 kills

The Gophers' leader in kills for the past two seasons, Samedy is an all-around standout who also is second on the team in digs (275) and third in blocks (71).

Alexis Hart (6-0, jr.)

Outside hitter • 257 kills

Hart, a Missouri high school state champ in the long jump and triple jump, has a 32-inch vertical leap and a cannon arm.

Regan Pittman (6-5, so.)

Middle blocker • 249 kills

The Gophers' tallest player, Pittman is the team's most accurate hitter (.407) and top blocker (107), and she is adept at the slide attack.

Adanna Rollins (6-0, fr.)

Outside hitter • 248 kills

In her first college season, Rollins has led or co-led the Gophers in kills in eight matches — second only to Samedy's nine — and logged a season-best 20 kills in a victory over Nebraska.

Taylor Morgan (6-0, jr.)

Middle blocker • 228 kills

Hampered by knee injuries, Morgan was limited to 49 total kills in her previous two seasons; now healthy, she is second on the team in hitting percentage (.390) and blocks (97).
