Do you find the average toboggan too boring? Think black tubes are just oh-too-ugly to even touch snow? Then perhaps the Powderhorn Art Sled Rally is the remedy.
Anything goes -- double-decker sleds, sleds shaped like animals, sleds made for jumping or with wings -- and most of them have never been tried on snow before. Sledders will be taunted with monster-truck-rally-like announcers, and mock awards will reward the most outrageous sleds. The rally is put on by the South Sixteenth High Jinks, a neighborhood group. The slopes will be ready for sleds, and hot coffee will be served.
