The Twins should look slightly less discombobulated Friday for Game 2 of this series with the Yankees.
Jason Kubel is due back after taking a day to tend to a family matter. Luke Hughes will be here, eager to prove himself after Thursday's travel snafu. Matt Tolbert, who was available off the bench, will have another day to heal his sore wrist.
Michael Cuddyer might even be ready to swing a bat, depending on how his neck responds to Thursday's epidural.
"Doesn't mean Joe [Mauer] won't play right field, but we should have bodies," Manager Ron Gardenhire said.
Kevin Slowey gets the start for the Twins, opposite Yankees righthander Phil Hughes. Check La Velle's blog for the starting lineups.
