SOUNDSET

Next Sunday: After lightning and a tornado warning abruptly ended last year's big outdoor hip-hop festival, organizers brought in a rap legend whose newfound mystical Rastafarian skills might help calm the skies if need be. Snoop Dogg will join resident local hosts Atmosphere to headline the usual 10-hour marathon. Snoop will be performing his Doggy classics, not the reggae tunes from his new album as Snoop Lion. Working again as a DJ/rapper duo, Slug and Ant will be playing makeup for last year's canceled Atmosphere set. Other names on the lineup include MTV reality star Mac Miller, Kansas City favorite Tech N9ne, Busta Rhymes, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, Joey Bada$$, Juicy J and the M.I.A.-of-late P.O.S. (11 a.m.-9 p.m. next Sun. $46. Canterbury Park Festival Field, 1100 Canterbury Rd., Shakopee. SoundsetFestival.com.)
