GIRL GERMS TRIBUTE SHOW

Friday: What started as a Radio K student show and evolved into a music blog could now be First Ave's next great annual tribute concert, in the vein of the popular Replacements and Bowie marathons. Billed as a "live tribute to women in rock," Girl Germs' one-night, seven-band affair will have girls and boys celebrating the music of mostly pioneering and/or underappreciated female artists. The psychedelic dudes of Night Moves will headline with a set of Cranberries tunes. Other performers include Pink Mink (doing Bikini Kill songs), L'Assassins (pictured, covering Thee Headcoatees), Strange Names (the B-52s), Fury Things (Hole), members of Brute Heart (Sade) and Bomba de Luz's Lydia Liza (Dusty Springfield). Babes in Toyland's Lori Barbero will emcee. (8 p.m. Fri. $10. First Avenue, 701 1st Av. N., Mpls. eTix.com.)
