Saturday: The former Tony! Toni! Tone! singer has reinvented himself as an innovative solo artist whose records land squarely between modern rock, vintage R&B and classic Motown soul, and whose onstage showmanship rivals Janelle Monae and Sharon Jones in the current groove business.
