Friday: Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert may be leading a new wave in Nashville, but the best new old-school singer-songwriter to come along is 35-year-old Alabama outlaw Jamey Johnson. His 2008 "That Lonesome Song" had critics going gaga over "the new Waylon Jennings," and his hit "In Color" was named song of the year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. This year, Johnson impressed even more with the penetrating, nearly flawless "The Country Song," a two-disc collection that landed at No. 1 on the country chart. He'll have a jukebox full of fabulous songs for his Twin Cities debut at a benefit for Vikings defensive end Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors. Opening will be Chris Jessen and Allen's good buddy, Keith Anderson. (9 p.m. Fri. Fine Line Music Cafe, 318 1st Ave. N., Mpls., $69, 612-338-8100.) JON BREAM
