Who let the dogs out? That's what you'll be wondering if you stop by the Nomad World Pub on Saturday. With warm weather finally here, the Cedar-Riverside bar will once again go to the dogs (and their canine-loving companions) for the season's first "Beer With Your Buddy" event.

Angie Gwiazdon and her company, K9-Connection, host a variety of dog-friendly events, including speed-dating and singles mixers (with your dog, of course). Her Nomad dog parties are more laid back, inviting humans and dogs to just mingle. It goes biweekly starting May 14. Tickets always go fast, so check the website.

4-6:30 p.m. Sat., 501 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. $10 (dogs get in free). 612-501-2986 or k9-connection.com

Two words: meat bingo

So you like bingo and you like meat raffles -- then you're going to go nuts for this. The team that brought you the meat-raffle game show at the downtown Grumpy's has moved to even greater bar-game infamy. Since September, Faith Farrell and Rich Kronfeld have been hosting something they call "T-Bone Bingo" at Grumpy's in northeast Minneapolis. Every Sunday, you can play free bingo with a chance to win meat from that good old Nordeast supermarket, Sentyrz. Of course, Kronfeld and Farrell liven up the joint with meat trivia and other wacky meat games.

Three Kings, plus one

The Nomad is having a busy week. It's not every day Minneapolis sees a legendary reggae singer come to town, but on Wednesday, Pato Banton will bring his 25-year career to the small West Bank pub. His appearance is part of the III Kings reggae night that runs every Wednesday.

9 p.m. Wed. 501 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. $8. 612-338-6424. nomadpub.com

DWI in St. Paul

It looks like "Drinking With Ian" has found a change of scenery. The funny talk show is leaving First Avenue this month for a taping Saturday at the Eagles Club in St. Paul. Never seen "DWI"? It's like "The Tonight Show," but with drinks and better bands. Catch new episodes at 12:30 a.m. Fridays on cable-access channel MCN 6.

8 p.m. Sat. 287 Maria Av., St. Paul. $5. drinkingwithian.com

See the movie, stay for the beer pong The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival is known for its abundance of artsy-fartsy foreign films. Looks like they're easing up a bit this year. Case in point: "The Last Cup," a documentary about the oh-so-serious subject of beer pong. After the movie screens Saturday night at Oak Street Cinema, the fest invites moviegoers to partake in their own beer-pong adventure at Stub & Herb's, where they can drink free and win prizes. The bar will be especially busy that night because the guys behind the Twin Cities' best beer blog -- MNBeer.com -- are celebrating their "3.5 Year Anniversary" with special cask ales from local breweries starting at 8 p.m.

Two turntables, lots of DJs

The likes of Jack Trash, DJ Cor E, EJthaDJ, Justin Styles and Inno will hit the tables while you hit the floor. Headlining is Detroit's Anthony Attalla.

Not just another Monday

The date April 20 holds special significance for some people. Envy is hosting a "4/20 Party" on Monday, complete with a live glass-blowing demonstration, free munchies from Erbert & Gerbert's, open bar on 45th Parallel vodka and music by DJ Sota.
