Police look for suspected jewelry thief

Minneapolis police are asking for help identifying a man who pried open jewelry cabinets at Kmart and made off with up to $6,000 in stolen goods.

Minneapolis police are asking for help identifying a man who used a "pry tool" to open cabinets in the jewelry section at Kmart and made off with up to $6,000 in stolen goods.

The robbery occurred on Sept. 4 at the Kmart on Lake Street and 1st Ave. Police say he took between $4,000 and $6,000 worth of merchandise.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. James Jensen at 612-673-5587.
