Police: Amtrak passenger arrested in La Crosse with $30,000 worth of marijuana

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Police were ready for a suspicious Amtrak passenger when he arrived at the La Crosse train station.

Authorities in Portland, Ore., alerted local police that the 25-year-old Boscobel, Wis., man was acting suspiciously and traveling to La Crosse. Police searched the man's bags with the help of a drug-sniffing dog. Officials say they found about $30,000 worth of marijuana in the man's bags.

The La Crosse Tribune ( http://bit.ly/11UGrHu) says he's due in court Wednesday.
