A significant winter storm will spread northeastward from the Rockies andPlains to the Midwest and Northeast over the next two days, resulting in anall-out blizzard from northern Kansas to the northern Lower Peninsula ofMichigan.Snow will quickly spread into the Upper Midwest during the day Tuesday, thenthe interior Northeast Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Road conditions willrapidly deteriorate across this region, as the snow will come down fairly hardshortly after it begins.

Major airport delays and cancellations can be expected in Omaha, Neb.; DesMoines, Iowa; Minneapolis, Minn.; and Milwaukee, Wis. O'Hare International inChicago will also experience a significant impact as it has a number ofconnecting flights to the above cities.
Several inches of snow will accumulate over the interior Northeast Tuesdaynight or early Wednesday before changing to sleet then rain.
