Part of West River Parkway closing at 8 a.m. Friday

A one-block segment of West River Parkway in south Minneapolis will close at 8 a.m. Friday. The closure between E. 26th Street and E. 29h Street will be in effect until 3 p.m., Minneapolis Parks and Recreation officials said.

A one-block segment of West River Parkway in south Minneapolis will close at 8 a.m. Friday. The closure between E. 26th Street and E. 29th Street will be in effect until 3 p.m., Minneapolis Parks and Recreation officials said.

The bike and walking trail also will be closed.

Authorities will be working to recover and remove a vehicle that went over the embankment in the area on Tuesday.
