Texas defensive tackle Joshua Croslen rescinded his verbal commitment to be part of the Gophers' 2017 recruiting class on Thursday.

Croslen wrote on his Twitter account that he has decided to "de-commit from the University of Minnesota and reopen my recruiting." said Croslen, the 6-foot-1, 275-pound recruit who originally committed last year under former head coach Tracy Claeys.

Croslen, from Cibolo, Texas, is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals. He's the second Claeys recruit to de-commit this week under the new P.J. Fleck regime, joining Florida defensive back Raheem Layne.
