Hear, hear, fellow drinkers, it's time for celebrating. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition. For beer drinkers, April 7, 1933, will always be a special day -- it's when 3.2 beer was legalized, followed by the full repeal on Dec. 5, when the 21st Amendment was ratified. Summit has created a cool commemorative poster with the tagline "Our Thirst Shall Be Heard." It's in bars now, or buy one for $9.95 at the brewery's gift shop (910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul. 651-265-7800. www.summitbrewing.com).

A few bars will throw parties for this glorious beer holiday. One Minneapolis bar that had to do something big is Bootleggers. On Saturday, the first 100 people in the door drink free from 8 to 9 p.m. After that, it's penny pints and two-for-ones from 9 to 10 p.m. (8 p.m. Sat. 323 1st Av. N., Mpls. 612-338-4555. www.bootleggersmpls.com)

What's going on You can't lose with a night of Marvin Gaye tributes at the Cabooze. A long list of local musicians, including Ray Covington, Lynval Jackson and Yohannes Tona, will sing the love master's songs in an annual night they call "Remembering the Life of Marvin Gaye." (9:30 p.m. Sat. 917 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. 612-338-6425. www.cabooze.com)

Scion strikes again It still seems weird that a car company is behind some of the coolest hip-hop tours, movie screenings and art exhibits in recent memory. Here we go again with Scion's Installation 4 Art Tour, "It's a Beautiful World," which gathers contemporary pieces from young painters, photographers, sculptors and collagists. It comes to Rogue Buddha Gallery with an opening party tonight featuring DJs Kool Akiem and Jonathan Ackerman. (Exhibit runs through April 19. 357 13 Av. NE., Mpls. 612-331-3889. www.scion.com/installation.)
