Danny Coulombe will make his season debut for the Twins tonight (7:10, BSN) as he starts as an "opener" in a bullpen game against Cleveland at Target Field.

This will be his first major league start.

Coulombe pitched in 14 games for the Saints this year, and has a 1.77 ERA in 20 innings, with 27 strikeouts. He pitched in two games last season for the Twins. The 31-year-old lefthander has pitched for Oakland (143 games) and the Dodgers (10) during his career.

Reliever Luke Farrell (oblique strain) will go on the injured list. To make room for Coulombe on the 40-man roster, reliever Cody Stashak (back) will be transferred to the 60-day IL.

Righthander Cal Quantrill (0-2, 2.74) will start for Cleveland, which keeps rolling along despite losing starting pitchers Aaron Civale, Shane Bieber and Zach Plesac to injuries. Mounds View's Sam Hentges will start for Cleveland on Saturday.
