Out of the Pan, Into the Fire

Opening: This original work uses fairy tales to plunge into a contemporary narrative. Written by Steven Epp, Nathan Keepers and Dominique Serrand, the piece was developed by the Moving Company — a company formed by several key players from Jeune Lune — and the University of Iowa theater department's Partnership in the Arts program. Directed by Serrand, "Out of the Pan" uses physical imagery, puppets and music. It features Keepers, left, Epp and Christina Baldwin. (7:30 p.m. Fri.-Sun. Ends May 26. Southern Theatre, 1420 Washington Av. S., Mpls.; $16.50-$26.50, 612-343-3390 or www.themovingco.org)
