Olympic triathlon gold medalist Gwen Jorgensen will compete in the TC 10 Mile race Sunday as part of the Twin Cities Marathon weekend.
Jorgensen, a St. Paul resident who won gold at the Rio Olympics in August, plans to run the New York City Marathon on Nov. 6.
Dominic Ondoro of Kenya and Serkalem Abrha of Ethiopia will defend their titles in the Twin Cities Marathon.
More than 30,000 runners will compete in either the marathon, the 10-mile race or in Saturday’s events (10K and 5K).
Sunday’s TC 10 Mile starts at 6:53 a.m. and the marathon begins at 7:55 a.m. Both events start near U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and end near the Capitol in St. Paul.
