Ghost the Musical

Opens Sat.: Hopefully, this revival will be better than the tour that crashed into the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis in 2014, an ill-fated production beset by glitches. With songs by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics and Glen Ballard, who co-wrote and produced hits by Alanis Morissette, Michael Jackson and many others, the show is adapted from the 1990 film starring Whoopi Goldberg as a spiritual medium who reunites a couple (Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze) after the man dies. For this resurrection, Eric Morris directs a big cast that includes Heather McElrath in the Goldberg role and Mollie Fischer and Frank Moran as the couple. The show has projections and special effects designed by Miko Simmons — after all, the ghost is supposed to walk through walls. (7:30 p.m. Sat. and Thu.-Fri., 2 p.m. Sun., 1:30 p.m. Wed. $30-$40. Ends Sept. 23. Old Log Theatre, 5185 Meadville St., Greenwood. 952-474-5951,
