Virgil D. Barrie

Barrie Virgil D., born April 19, 1919, Hutchinson, MN, died Dec. 29, 2001 at Unity Hospital, Fridley, MN. Survived by daughters, Barbara (Nordberg) of Hew Hope, MN, Jeanne Barrie of Powers Lake, ND; son, Jon of Salt Lake City, UT. Preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Alice L. Ogden of Stanley, ND; his parents, John & Anna; 2 brothers, Louis & Arthur. There will be a memorial service where you may visit with family members at the Kraus-Hartig VFW Home, located at 8100 NE Pleasantview Dr., in Spring Lake Park, on January 4, 2002 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. A private interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and offers heartfelt thanks to all of Dad's caregivers and to the Kraus-Hartig VFW Post.
