Margarete M. Boersma

Boersma Margarete M. (Gotz), 91, of Cokato, formerly Mpls, passed away peacefully 12/24/01 at Cokato Manor. Margarete was born in Carlsfeld, Germany. She married Otte Boersma in 1936, The Hague, The Netherlands, who preceded her in death in 1966. Margarete and her husband immigrated to American with their eleven children in July of 1954, and settled in Minneapolis. Survivors include her 11 children, Marianne (Frank) Moulton of Lakewood, CO, Allert (Andrea) Boersma of Carlsbad, CA, Frans (Gloria) Boersma of Morganton, NC, Jos (Erna) Boersma of Patterson, LA, Annemarie (Jim) Foley of White Bear Lake, MN, Marta (Ron) Ostrom of Phoenix, AZ, Maria (Gary) Joy of Cokato, MN, Otte Boersma of Minnetrista, MN, Andre (Ellen) Boersma of Redwood Valley, CA, Ingrid Boersma of Eden Prairie, MN, Evaline ``Elfie'' (Bill Adams) Boersma of Aurora, CO; brother, Heinz Gotz, Coblenz, Germany; niece, Christa Nowak in Berlin, Germany; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren. ``She will remain in our memory as the incredible matriach that she was.'' Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 12/29/01, 10:30 AM at St. John's Catholic Church of Darwin. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass Saturday. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery of New Hope, MN. Arr.
