Kenneth C. Kohn
Kohn Kenneth C. Kohn, age 82, of Palm Desert, CA, formerly of Edina, died Dec. 21, 2001, at his home. Born July 7, 1919, in Brookfield, MN, he was a graduate of Litchfield High School and the University of Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, then remained in the Army Reserves before leaving military service as a first lieutenant. His business career spanned sales, purchasing and management positions in wholesale distribution companies. He was a former member of the board of directors of the Toiletry Merchandisers Association. He is survived by Dorothy Kohn, his wife of 57 years; son, Randolph and his wife Karen of La Quinta, CA; son, Bruce and his wife Cathy of Edina; son, Steven of Milwaukee; daughter-in-law, Barbara Kohn of Wauwatosa, WI; sister, Thelma Kloempken of Winona; sister, Eunice Kozlik and her husband Robert of Crystal; sister-in-law, Betty Alcorn of Prospect Heights, IL; and grandchildren, Kirstin, Kimberly, Kathryn, Christopher, Andrew, Erik and Stephanie Kohn. His parents, Henry and Dorothy Kohn of Hutchinson and sister, Ruth preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at a later date upon interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or donor's choice.
