David Marc Thaler

Thaler David Marc, 47 of Williams Lane, Minnetrista, died December 21, 2002 at Hennepin County Medical Center. Beloved husband of Sharon (Pelletier) Thaler; dear father of Jacob, Samuel and Abraham Thaler, all at home; loving brother of Mona Thaler, Brookline, MA, and Fred Thaler, Rehoboth, MA; devoted uncle of several nieces and nephews. Born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Jacob and Esther (Hammerschlag) Thaler, he lived in Fall River, MA for most of his life before moving to Minnesota 14 years ago. Mr. Thaler graduated from Bishop Connolly High School, Fall River, MA. He received his Bachelor's in Science in Criminal Justice and his Master's in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Massachusetts. He worked for Sylvania, American Cablevision, McCaw Communications and AT&T before becoming one of the partners at Nextel Partners. Prior to working at Sylvania he worked at the New Bedford Police Department and as a patrolman for the Nantucket Police Department. In Minnesota he was a member of Adath Jeshurun Congregation and he was a mentor with the Leadership Minneapolis Program. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Tonka Sports Assoc., PO Box 505, Mound, MN 55364. A memorial service to be held at a later date.
