Walter Joseph Gelakoski

Gelakoski Walter Joseph, age 73, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away December 19th, 2001 at Tucson Heart Hospital in Tucson, AZ. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 29th, 2001 at Chapel Of Memories Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. He will be laid to rest with military honors in Jackson County Veterans Field of Honor. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm prior to the services at the funeral home. Walter was born September 8th, 1928 in Muskegon, MI and served his country honorably in the US Air Force during Korea. Mr Gelakoski was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ed and Harold Gelakoski. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Darlene of the home; 3 daughters, Lori Jones & her husband Dave of Plattsburg, MO, Janis Bradley of Lathrop, MO and Sandi Swope & her husband Randy of Kearney, MO; 3 sons, Steve Gelakoski & his wife Jane of Lanaii, HI, Mike Gelakoski & his wife Lori of Bloomington, MN and Guy Gelakoski & his wife Peggy of Andover, MN; 12 grandchildren, Jake, Jesse, Colby, Cory, Chase, Cassi, Patrick, Afton, Carson, Collin, Kelsie and Kyle; as well as one sister, Edna Bolin of Jacksonville, FL.
