Walter O. Anklam
Walter O. Anklam, age 89, passed away December 19, 2001. He was preceded in death by daughter, Carol. Survived by loving wife, Marcy, of 61 years; son, Bob; daughter-in-law, Sandy; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many friends. Walter attended MacPhail and developed a life-long love of the piano. He also was an Army veteran of WW II. Walter worked in downtown Mpls for 20 years at the Federal Reserve Bank. He found his life's purpose in joining his father in the family business doing surgical instrument repair for international and national hospitals and universities. He grew this business for over 50 years, working until the day he died. Walter was also active in The Salvation Army, American Legion, and the Ft. Snelling Club. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who truly cared about people. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial service Thursday, 12/27, 2:30 pm at the Werness Brothers Chapel, 3500 W. 50th St. Visitation 1/2 hour prior to service. Private interment.
