Lyons Gordon H., age 87, died at his home in Sun City West, AZ on December 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mabel Crinkley Lyons. Gordon was born October 1, 1915 in Minneapolis, the only child of Victor & Selma Lyons. He graduated from Washburn in 1934 and the University of Minnesota School of Business in 1938. He worked in the Finance Dept. of the U of M until classified 4F in WWII. He then worked in the Cost Accounting Dept. at the 2nd largest defense plant in the Twin Cities, Northern Ordinance Inc. After the war, he worked for the IRS and Haskens & Sells, obtaining his CPA Certificate during that time. He then joined the Tax Dept. at Dayton-Hudson, retiring there in 1979. During his working years he belonged to the Minneapolis Athletic Club, Golden Valley Golf Club, Lake Harriet Lodge, Scottish Rite, Zuhrah Temple of the Shrine, various accounting societies and Tax Executive Insitute (TEI). Funeral Service Saturday 2 PM at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 36th & Hennepin Ave. S. Mpls. Visitation 1/2 hour prior to service.
